LABORATORY SAFETY HANDLING OF CHEMICALS AND GLASSWARES

LABORATORY SAFETY  

• Always wear a laboratory coat or apron before entering a laboratory for protecting clothes from.
• Before and after each laboratory period, clean the work bench with a disinfection solution.
• Keep the laboratory bench clean of every (books ,purses ,papers) except equipment and observation note book.
• never drink, eat, apply cosmetics or use cell phone in the laboratory. 
• Long hair should be tied back to minimize contamination and prevent accidents.
• All microbial culture should be handled as being potential pathogens.

• wash your with soap and water before leaving the laboratory.
• Aseptic technique must be rigorously followed always.
• Clean the laboratory desk top with a damp cloth at the close at the close of each experiment.
• Always clean the microscope stage ,eye piece and objectives before and after use.
• Record your data and keep the observation note book up to date.
• label all plates, tubes, culture properly before starting an experiment.
